Jan.1, 2007 - Photo's

Out here in the valley we have this thing called an "Inversion". It's when the clouds and smog get stuck down in the valley because of no air movement. When driving yesterday I noticed you could see just the tops of the mountains above the inversion. It was pretty cool.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Another year has come and gone. This last year was one of the most exciting years and the most difficult years for us. With the move to Utah brought happiness and sadness. Each day that goes by it gets a little easier. Hopefully this year brings happiness and good health to all. We're looking forward to a year of health, happiness and exploring. There is still so much to see and do. As always I will have my trusty camera with me to take photo's along the way. We miss everyone at home and wish you all happiness and good health. We miss you all and love you.

Homesick

Homesick
Sometimes I just sit and stare
at the mountains without a care
Still in shock that we are here
but still deep down I have a fear
I worry that we moved away
when what we should have done is stayed
Deep down I know we did what's right
but I fight my sadness with all my might
Eventually it will go away
when we come home and visit one day

Merry Christmas

I search through all the Christmas cards
In drug and deparment stores
Gazed on Santa's picture
Read verses by the scores

There were none to meet my fancy
Somehow they were incomplete
So with these Yule time poets
I find I must compete

If all the million verses
Of greeting cards were true
Had by me been written
and dedicated to you

They would not be sufficient
My wishes to unfold
For you there is no limit
As to what my heart will hold -
Merry Christmas!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon....

Snow in time for Christmas....but will it last?
