Saturday Morning Drive
We decided last week that we (Diana and I) were going to leave early (5:00 a.m.) and head up to Little Cottonwood Canyon just past Snowbird & Alta and look for moose. Now I've seen moose in the wild before and Diana hasen't so we were really excited about seeing some. So excited we got there about 1 hour before the sun came up so we sat in the dark and waited like two kids on Christmas morning only to be disappointed because we got underwear. (No moose.) Nothing....we saw 4 deer and that was it. No lousy moose at all. We were kind of bummed but we decided to make the most of the morning and check out Big & Little Cottonwood Canyons a little better. All and all we had a great day exploring. The lake pictures were Silver Lake. You could feel the snow in the air and looking at the snow covered peaks this morning I know now it won't be long until winter is here and I can't wait. Hope you all enjoy the pictures. Wish you all were here. Miss and Love you all.

Snow or No Snow?
This was awesome to see. This looks just like it did when I took it. Very cool.
Awesome view from the road in Big Cottonwood Canyon
Creek running along side the road in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Not much going on at Solitude Ski Resort this morning. Very quiet.
I dropped the kids off at school this morning and it was 39 Deg in Salt Lake City and got me thinking about snow. Once I started thinking about snow I started thinking about skiing and decided to take a ride up to Big Cottonwood Canyon (20 min.) and check out the snow situation at some local ski resorts. As you can see from the pictures there is a little on the peaks but as far as the resorts go there is none to be seen and they aren't making any either. So to whoever is interested no snow as of yet but the resorts open the first week of November so it won't be long. Anyways.....I enjoyed the ride and the fresh cool mountain air. The colors of the trees were magnificent and unfortunately the camera does it no justice. The picture of the sun coming over the mountain (two rays) was just how it looked to me...very cool. Anyways...enjoy the pictures and please contribute to the page. Love and miss you all.

Photo Gallery
This picture to the above is of the Uinta - Cache Mountains. We drove by them on the way to Strawberry Reservoir fishing. If you look closely you can see a hawk or eagle flying above the mountains.
The picture to the left is of an unusual tree along side the road. I don't know why I took this picture, I guess I just thought it looked kinda cool.
This picture is of Deer Creek Reservoir. I think of all the places we have been out here this place was by far the kids favorite. We spent the whole day here fishing, swimming and picnicing. To this day the kids still ask if we can go back there again.
This picture was taken at the top of Butterfield Canyon. Off in the distance is the small town of Tooele. This picture was taken from a hiking trail that leads to the top of the mountain.
This picture was taken from our bedroom window on the 4th of July as a storm came over the mountains. Every time it storms it's neat to see how low the clouds are over the city!

Sunday Roadtrip
Last Sunday we decided to take a drive and went down south. We forgot elk hunting season started and there were hunters EVERYWHERE in the mountains. It was nice just to get out and explore. The kids had fun when we stopped and they got to throw rocks in a creek. (How very exciting.) Anyways....we were gone most of the day and took quite a few pictures. Here are a few...hope you enjoy! The trees were gorgeous (Yellow).
The first Blog in the Daggett Family Blogs
This morning I got the kids ready for school and once they were all gone I decided to go for a morning ride to Butterfield Canyon and check for any wildlife. The drive is about 10 min. and it is very relaxing. It was a cool, overcast fall morning and the clouds and fog hung low over the mountains. I was able to see some deer, wild turkeys and some hawks. I took dome pictures so I will share some with you. Jacob had a field trip today to the children's museum downtown Salt Lake and he was very excited about that! He had one last week to Hee Haw Farms and had a blast! I went to the doctor yesterday about my feet and he thinks it might be Gout? He took 4 things of blood and is going to run 6 different tests and call me with the results. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I made this blog site so that we can keep in touch this way too! I will update this daily and at the end of each section there is a spot where you can type comments. Brian knows how to get around these sites and how to type messages back so maybe I will have him come out and show you guys how to respond! Keep checking this daily as I will update it! I will talk to you all later...Love and miss you all.
