Snow or No Snow?

Not much going on at Solitude Ski Resort this morning. Very quiet.

I dropped the kids off at school this morning and it was 39 Deg in Salt Lake City and got me thinking about snow. Once I started thinking about snow I started thinking about skiing and decided to take a ride up to Big Cottonwood Canyon (20 min.) and check out the snow situation at some local ski resorts. As you can see from the pictures there is a little on the peaks but as far as the resorts go there is none to be seen and they aren't making any either. So to whoever is interested no snow as of yet but the resorts open the first week of November so it won't be long. Anyways.....I enjoyed the ride and the fresh cool mountain air. The colors of the trees were magnificent and unfortunately the camera does it no justice. The picture of the sun coming over the mountain (two rays) was just how it looked to me...very cool.
