Homesick
Sometimes I just sit and stare
at the mountains without a care
Still in shock that we are here
but still deep down I have a fear
I worry that we moved away
when what we should have done is stayed
Deep down I know we did what's right
but I fight my sadness with all my might
Eventually it will go away
when we come home and visit one day

Saw your snow pictures of the kids, I bet they're really having fun....hope your snow lasts thru Christmas, ours is completely gone with the promise of rain today and possibly tomorrow with a slight chance of snow on Chrismas Eve. Better than nothing, right! I know you're missing us this Christmas, but we're missing you, too!
My uncle, Orville Otto, passed away yesterday. The funeral is on Friday morning. His wife,Florence, is grandpa Truman's sister. She's in a home with Alzheimers. I liked your poem and Grandpa Baker's is still very good. The kids in Mazon get early dismissal today and then it's Christmas vacation. Hannah had her party at preschool today and she's done for two weeks. Mason's party is this afternoon and Kathy is in charge of snacks and treat bags, so I'm off this afternoon. We have sold a few more of our metal moose since the show. Dennis Stacy (Perennial (sp) Place) bought two of them today to display at their new garden center in Dwight....
Love to all of you guys. Merry Christmas!
I liked your pictures! We too will miss you on Christmas Eve. Tomorrow is our last day of school and we are off until Jan. 8th. I can't wait to sleep in!!
Merry Christmas!
Love, Cousin Lynn
